The Backyard Beekeepers Association offers Beginning Beekeeper and Apprentice Beekeeper classes. These classes are approved by WASBA for beekeeper certification.
Beginner Beekeeper Class
Please note – This class is full, and we are not accepting additional registrations. Our sincerest regrets, but please join us in our monthly meetings!
The Beginning Beekeeper Classes are for people who have little to no experience with keeping honey bees.

We offer these classes in a three-day classroom experience located in Deer Park, WA. Students can attend optional “hands-on” field days through the season, at a local bee yard.
The goal of the Beginning Beekeeper Class is to provide our students with the most relevant and detailed education in order to promote the highest success rate while they begin tending their bees. Our education, married with “hands-on” field days, will equip our students with the best practices needed to become confident, successful beekeepers.
We hope you will join us as we learn more about honey bees and the art of beekeeping!
