Welcome to the Backyard Beekeepers Association!

The Backyard Beekeepers Association is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization founded in May 2015.  Our mission is to promote the art and technique of beekeeping through education and support of small scale backyard hobbyist beekeepers and interested non-beekeepers.

The goal of our Association is to educate members to be practical, responsible and successful as they tend their hives; and to increase public knowledge about the importance honey bees have to our environment, our ecology and our food production.

We seek to accomplish this goal local classes, public event presentations, and monthly community meetings where we share our ideas and experiences.

If you want to become a beekeeper or are interested in saving the honey bee, Join Us and find out what the buzz is all about!

COVID-19 UPDATE:

Due to Covid-19 and the latest restrictions, we are cancelling our club meetings and classes until further notice.

This is an ever changing situation and as we continue to monitor reports in an effort to keep our members and students safe, we will adjust as needed and update you as we make changes.  Update information will be available here on our website, social media, and through email.  For now stay safe, wash your hands, social distance, and read a good beekeeping book!
