Beginner Beekeeping Class

The Beginner Beekeeping Classes are for people who have little to no experience with keeping honey bees.  We cover topics such as:

  • Honey Bee Biology
  • Hive Equipment
  • 4 Season Procedures
  • Extraction
  • Pests & Diseases

We offer these classes in a two-day classroom experience located in Deer Park, WA.  Students can attend five optional “hands-on” field days through the season, at a bee yard hosted by BeeManiacs in Deer Park, WA.

Our goal in the Beginner Beekeeping Class is to provide our students with the most relevant and detailed education in order to promote the highest success rate while they begin tending their bees.  Our education, married with ‘hands-on” field days, will equip our students with the best practices needed to become confident, successful beekeepers.

The price includes a one year membership in the Backyard beekeepers Association, a one year WASBA membership, the manual and test, as well as all field days. We hope you will join us as we learn more about honey bees and the art of beekeeping!
