Queen Exchange

The Backyard Beekeepers Queen Exchange program is committed to education, conservation and local sustainability.  Many beekeepers find the out-sourcing of queens to be a detriment to the health and success of their hives.  The BBQE Program is a co-op of members who raise their own queens and will offer them to other members should tragedy strike.

There are two requirements for being a part of the BBQE Program:

  • You are a current member of the Backyard Beekeepers Association (BBA).
  • You agree to produce a new queen the next season to “pay it forward” to another member in need.

If you would like more information or to be added to the list of BBQE Program queen producers, please click here and let us know!

If you are not a BBA member, please click here to join.
